Miltown got their Junior A Championship campaign off to a winning start today in Cooraclare with a 1-16 to 0-6 victory over The Banner.

Our Juniors started well in sweltering conditions and led on a scoreline of 0-11 to 0-3 at half time with a number of well worked scores.

The second half continued in the same vein as the first half with Miltown finishing up winners by thirteen points, despite two black cards for Sean Meade and Creeko.

It was a well rounded impressive display with examples of great point scoring from a variety of scorers and three impressive saves from Paul in goal.

Scorers were: Ger Malone 1-7 (1-0 pen, 0-4f), Gary Egan 0-3, Micheal Murray and Graham Kelly 0-2 each, Sean Malone and Liam Gray 0-1 each.
