Miltown 5-15 St.Breckans 1-6

Miltown got their first win of the Minor campaign with an impressive display away to St.Breckans on Wednesday evening. Playing against a tricky diagonal wind in the first half Miltown enjoyed plenty of possession and despite missing a few opportunities went in at half time leading on a scoreline of 2-5 to 0-6.

The second half began with a goal from Liam Hehir following a great team move and this proved the catalyst for a high scoring performance over the next thirty minutes. A further two goals and ten points ensured the win and the lads now look forward to their next game against the West Clare combination of Naomh Eoin/O'Currys/Kilkee.

The panel for last night’s game was: Andrew Skeritt, Podge Devitt, Cillian O'Malley, Tadhg Flynn, Jason Griffin, Euan Reidy, Evan Crowley, Micheal Murray, Oisin Looney, Zak Whelehan, Liam Hehir, Jack Downes, Ben Whelehan, Cian Mahony, Ronan Meade, Jason Deveraux, Damien deveraux, Paul Keane, Harry Boyd, Gerry Byrne, John Curtin, Mark Cunningham, Gavin Burke, Cian Flanagan.

The squad were kitted out for the game in a new set of jerseys kindly sponsored by Jones SuperValu. We would like to thank John, Claire and family for their continued support of Miltown GAA.
