Our Seniors finished their Cusack Cup campaign with a resounding 3-21 to 0-12 win over Lissycasey in Hennessy Memorial Park this evening.

Unfortunately despite this victory, they failed to qualify for the knockout stages as other results failed to go their way.

Miltown started well in the first half with Eoin Cleary scoring from the spot after Cormac Murray was fouled at the end of a well worked move. Lissycasey powered back into it and at the break there was only a point in it, with Miltown leading 1-7 to 0-9.

In the second half, Miltown exerted their dominance and displayed impressive fitness & attacking skills as they raced to an eighteen point victory. Central to this second half dominance was two well worked goals expertly finished by Cormac Murray and Eoin Cleary respectively and impressive point scoring from a variety of scorers.

Miltown lined out as follows: Sean O'Brien; Euan Reidy, Tayto, David Talty; Micheal Murray, Gordon Kelly, Colin Hehir; Oisin Looney & Ger Malone; Joe O'Reilly, Joe Curtin, Jamesie O'Connor; Cormac Murray, Eoin Curtin, Sean Malone. Subs: Liam Gray, Gearoid Burke, Eoin Curtin, Brian Curtin & Paul Tubridy.

Scorers were: Eoin Cleary 2-6, Cormac Murray 1-4, Ger Malone 0-4, Sean Malone 0-3 and Joe Curtin, Liam Gray, Eoin Curtin & Euan Reidy with 0-1 each.

Next up for our seniors is a home O'Gorman Cup game vs O'Currys next Friday night.
