Our Senior side maintained their 100% record in this years Championship with a hard fought victory over Cratloe in a high scoring and very entertaining game in Corofin on Saturday.
Eoin Cleary from a free got Miltown off the mark after Cratloe had opened up with two points, Cratloe extended their lead with Coilin hayes pulling off a great save to prevent a goal , the first of many saves in an outstanding display of the custodial arts. 
Miltown had levelled matters up at 0-04 a piece after 10 minutes with a point from a 45 from Paul Frawley a Micheal Murray effort from play and another Eoin Cleary free.
Euan Lineen found the back off the Cratloe net with a low effort after a fluid Miltown attacking play with Eoin Cleary adding a quick fire free and a point from play, leaving Miltown ahead 1-06 to 0-06 after 17 minutes. Cratloe however attacked with purpose for the next five minutes adding three points and forcing another great save from Coilin Hayes to leave the sides level 1-06 to 0-09 after 22 minutes. Ralph Whelehan rounded off a patient Miltown attack with a fine point and Euan Lineen added to the scoreline with another point from play, Cratloe however replied immediately and the sides headed for the dressing rooms with Miltown ahead by the minimum 1-08 to 0-10.

The U10 sides from Miltown & Cratloe put on a great display for the crowd at half time with the Miltown skills and teamwork showing the great work being done at underage level by all the coaches and players. 

The second half opened up with both teams trading scores the highlight being a massive two point effort from Eoin Cleary. Coilin Hayes continued his impressive display with another fine save before Darragh McDonagh using all his strength scored Miltowns second goal of the game , Cratloe however responded with a number of points of their own leaving the sides level 2-10 to 0-16 after 10 minutes of the second half. Darragh McDonagh struck for his second goal of the game with Eoin Cleary adding a free to put Miltown four up as the game entered the final 10 minutes. Cratloe reduced the arrears to a single point before Cian Mahony from a free and from play gave Miltown a three point lead. The decisive moment in the second half arrived when the referee awarded Cratloe a penalty, Coilin Hayes however proved equal to Podge Collins effort pulling off an outstanding save diving low to prevent the goal. Cratloe pressed hard after that with two points but were unable to beel in an impressive Miltown side who ran out winners 3-13 to 0-20
