Miltown eased past KIB in the latest round of the O’Gorman Cup this evening on a score line of 1-20 to 1-8.
Miltown started well with Ger Malone having his shooting boots on as he scored 8 points in an entertaining first half which saw Miltown lead 0-13 to 0-4 at the break. KIB were reduced to 14 men shortly before half time as their wing back saw red following an incident which saw Shane Curtin left with a broken nose.
KIB rallied at the start of the second half however St Joseph’s recovered and kicked a number of impressive scores from a variety of scorers. As the match edged towards a close, Cormac Murray expertly finished to the back of the net for his side’s only goal. Shortly before the final whistle, another red card was shown to a KIB man which saw them end the match with 13 men on the field.

Scorers were: Ger Malone 0-11, Cormac Murray 1-1, Joe Curtin & Micheal Murray 0-2 each and Euan Reidy, Sean Malone, Tayto & Jamesie O’Connor with a point each.
