Our Junior B side kept their Division 5 promotion hopes alive with a comprehensive victory over Ballyvaughan in Hennessy Memorial park on Saturday evening. Points from Ronan Keavey and Podge Deveraux and a two point effort from midfielder Tim Lenihan established a healthy lead for Miltown in the first quarter with the visitors having a solitary point from a free to show for their efforts. Two frees from Patrick Greene and a goal from Oisin McCarthy  gave Miltown a total of 1-6 for the first half while a well drilled Miltown defensive effort restricted the visitors to three points.
Ballyvaughan opened the scoring in the second half with an early point before Oisin Mccarthy replied with a point and two goals from Tim Lenihan and Patrick Greene gave the home side a comfortable lead as they game went into the final quarter. Further points from Patrick Greene (2), Diarmaid O'Sullivan and Eanna O'Connor rounded off a good evenings work for the home side who ran out winners 3-10 to 0-07
