Our Senior side began their O'Gorman Cup campaign in what can be best described as Baltic conditions on Saturday with defeat to Ennistymon.
Playing with a stiff but tricky breeze in the first half Miltown fell behind to an early free  and  a slightly dubious Ennistymon goal ,points from Michael Murray & Seanie Malone and two frees from Euan Lineen meant they trailed by 4 at half time on a scoreline of 0-4 to 1-5.
Ennistymon started the second half with an early goal to extend their lead with Micheal Murray replying with a fine point into the strengthening breeze.Miltown found scores hard to come by after that with Euan Lineen adding 2 frees while Ennistymon went on the add a further 5 scores including the only 2 pointer of the game to run out winners by 2-12 to 0-7.
Next up for Miltown is a home game against Shannon Gaels on Saturday 21/02
