A youthful senior side suffered defeat in their first outing of the 2025 season, going down 2-16 to 0-12 to Ennistymon in the opening round of the O'Gorman Cup.
The first half was an even enough affair with both sides adjusting to the new FRC rules. Ronan Keavey wrote his name in the Miltown history books with the first 2 pointer and further scores from Paul Keane (0-2f), Eoin Devenney 0-2(1p/1f), Sean 0-3p (inc 1x2pointer) gave Miltown a two point lead at half time in lahinch on a score of 0-9 to 0-7.
The second half saw Ennistymon up the ante and produce the better football as Miltown struggled to match the scoring rate from the first half. Points from Eoin Devenney, Euan Lineen & Eanna O'Connor adding 3 points to Miltowns score as the home side eased in the commanding lead.
