Miltown 5-12 Cooraclare 0-10

Our Junior side got back to winning ways on Monday evening with a impressive victory over visitors Cooraclare. Playing attractive attacking football, a largely young Miltown side established dominance on the pitch and on the scoreboard racking up 1-9 to Cooraclare 0-6, the Miltown goal coming from a sharp finish from Euan Lineen. Six different players contributed points for Miltown, Diarmaid O’Sullivan (2), Ger Malone (2), Oisin Meade (2), Ronan Keavey (1), Euan Lineen (1) & Conall Meade.

The second half saw the Miltown attack move up the gears and the goals quickly followed with Euan Lineen , Diarmaid O’Sullivan (2) & Gavin Twomey (1) all finding the back of the Cooraclare net. Points from Euan Lineen (1), Ronan Keavey (1) and substitute Sean Hayes (1) allied to a very disciplined defensive performance rounded off a great result for the home side.
