Miltown 2-9 Eire Og 0-3

After suffering defeat to Kilmihil in the opening round of the Division 7 league our Junior B side got their season back on track with an impressive win over Eire Og in Ennis last Sunday.

The first half saw Eire og on top in the possession stakes with Miltown soaking up the pressure and striking well on the counterattack. A smart flicked finish to the back of the Eire Og net from Conor McKenna gave Miltown a well deserved lead at half time with points from Ger Malone, Colm Haugh and Conor Mckenna helping the cause as both teams had to work hard on a soft pitch.

The second half saw Miltown establish dominance on the scoreboard and deny Eire Og any scores from play in a very disciplined defensive setup. A fine save from Niall Quinn frustrated the best goal chance for the home side and an Eanna O'Connor goal allied to points from Conor McKenna, Ger Malone & - John Forson ensured victory for Miltown on a scoreline of 2-9 to 0-3
