Our Junior B side qualified for the ¼ finals of the championship with a hard earned win over Clondegad in a high scoring game played in ideal conditions in Labasheeda on Saturday evening.

Miltown started well and had three points on the board early on, however a Clondegad goal brought them back into the game before Gary Egan finished to the net to give restore Miltowns lead. The teams traded scores ad half time approached and as referee Martin Downes blew for half time Miltown lead on a scoreline of 1-8 to 1-4 .

Clondegad started the second half in storming fashion and 2 goals, and a number of points meant they overturned the halftime deficit and went into the lead as the third quarter drew to a close. Miltown however got stuck in and a second Gary Egan goal and some fine points from several players gave Miltown a four-point lead as the game drew to a close. A fourth Clondegad goal near the end meant it was a nervy few minutes, but Miltown showing great work rate closed the game out on a score line of 2-14 to 4-6 and now look forward to the ¼ final draw.
